HI, can vinegar use to lower the KH in reef tank?i try to test with the hanna checker. 0.1 vinegar reduce 50% dkh in 10ml sw.

So cool, I got G2 300 about a month ago. Great tank! BTW, you can fit Smart Reef Smart Roller S, fits really nicely into sock section if you remove the glass separating the return chamber. Only thing needed is to cut the main return tube, diameter of the main return is the same as the intake in Smart Roller.

Can you use distilled water to calibrate your hanna salinity tester ?

Could they make a light where you add dimensions of your tank or tank type and it would calculate a rough lay out of the par for you like if they tested it on different tanks and sizes them selfs dose that seem like it would even matter I think it would be cool and the light or app would help it’s self by reading the watts it’s putting out in that currant moment they could just do it for basic tanks like a water box and redsea or something like that 🤷‍♂️

missed the live but one thing i noticed with my latest roll on the clarisea is they added a big round hole just before it runs out now so it literally is like a bypass so you can catch it easy

I thought was supposed to hush hush info. I’ve set mine calc/mag test 9am & 9pm when lights are on/off just to see how much calcium is consumed in a day. While alk test is alone is 6am & 3pm so i can adjust alk dosing

Some good tips there Dev. I believe the shelf life of the reagents is longer than what Neptune indicates, but I do agree that there could be some oxidation on the reagents if you only tested once a day.

I just did a 50% water change and my alk went from 8 to 10 dKH. Im letting it drop naturally, but will i lose any LPS due to that swing?

@ReefDudes the grey port can be used for ozone? When I purchased mine didn’t know about ozone and surely didn’t know certain skimmers can work with ozone.

Mine worked great for about four months. Then it stopped mixing the kalk. Stirrer moves, but the kalk isn't getting absorbed. Avast wouldn't help me with the problem, instead suggesting that I change the schedule and dose according to usage. I told them fine, but that's not what the problem is. I gave up asking for help.

I'm glad you brought up Wincey. I've rewatched your first interview with her several times over the years, and I've always dumped in my daily doses of soda ash and calc in bulk (alk AM and calc PM). I think she said that she has an apex now, but I'd love to see another tank tour of her current tank!
